Job Description:
We have an ambition to reinvigorate how we show up on our confectionery branded owned social media channels to drive relevance and engagement with our consumers, and we need a talented, specialist Social Media Lead to join our efforts.
What are we looking for?- Extensive experience in a relevant marketing role where content and social media development and execution were a key part of the role.
- Ability to analyse data and trends and turn these into insight to define appropriate recommendations and strategies.
- Experience in building multiple social brands within an organisation.
- Excellence In social brand building, with knowledge of building brand Identity & tone of voice & ability to translate this creatively
- Ability to build strong relationships across internal departments & external partners and manage a complex network of stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate complex and changing environments within a global organisation.
- Proven experience of managing agency partners
- Demonstrable copywriting experience and developing lofi content preferable but not essential.
- Drive social excellence in the UK market, including deployment and management of social campaigns, reactive and potentially influencer content. Building content calendars across social platforms, leveraging regional tools such as playbooks, assets and key calendar opportunities identified by brand.
- Leverage appropriate tools to measure social performance, defining and tracking KPIs and benchmarks to measure the impact of social and translating data into recommendations to optimise content, brand sentiment and drive incremental change and business outcomes.
- Identify emerging social media trends, platforms and technologies, recommending innovative approaches to enhance brand presence and performance
- Act as a social brand guardian for Mars, knowing the confectionery brands, the audience and the guidelines and restrictions we operate within (health and wellness, legal and marketing restrictions etc.) and championing these across the business and with all our partners.
