About Mood

Mood is a cannabis brand built around making it easy and fun for people to find their best mood with premium, federally legal (hemp-derived) cannabis products. We partner with trusted farms and prioritize transparency.

Every product is lab tested and designed to deliver the experience people are actually looking for, whether it’s chill, creative, energized, relaxed, or social. Our mission is to make cannabis accessible, affordable, and convenient, while supporting growers and delivering high-quality products to our community.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Intern who understands internet culture, can identify trends early, and knows how to turn ideas into content that actually resonates. You should be comfortable creating, editing, filming, performing, and helping shape how Mood shows up across platforms.

This is a remote, part-time role — but not passive. We are seeking a creative and proactive individual who is ready to produce high-quality content.

Also, you must be 21+ and comfortable working with cannabis products and cannabis content.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Shoot, create, edit, and publish two SMM posts per day to publish on TikTok and IG.
    • Posts range from video reels to high-quality graphics and templates for recipes, education, and advocacy calls.
  • Help build and maintain secondary accounts on YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, BlueSky, Threads, Substack, and Twitch.
  • Research and connect with brands and influencers for collaborations and growth opportunities.
  • Research, collect, and organize content for reposting and sharing. Identify trends for Mood to capitalize on.
  • Pitch creative content ideas to enhance our calendar and content output, informed by customer demographics, existing analytics, and brand objectives.
  • Help produce weekly analytics reports on the performance of our accounts.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experienced with shooting, lighting, and editing clean, high-quality content for social media
  • Experienced with social media planning, scheduling, and analytics software
  • 21+ and comfortable working with cannabis products and cannabis-related content
  • A strong understanding of major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, X, etc.)
  • Ability to spot trends and apply them strategically
  • Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Suite, Figma, etc.)
  • Video editing experience (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
  • Experience filming and recording content with attention to lighting, framing, and audio
  • Photography and/or videography skills
  • Motion graphics or animation experience
  • Experience managing or growing personal or brand social media accounts
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and performance metrics
  • Strong written communication for captions, hooks, and short copy
  • Understanding of brand voice, audience targeting, and storytelling
  • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable with deadlines
  • Open to feedback and rapid iteration
How To Apply
  • Submit a resume and cover letter.
  • In your cover letter, provide three examples of how you would improve Mood’s social accounts — Instagram, TikTok.
