Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.
Essential Job Duties
The goal of the Social Media Intern is to support the Marketing Team by creating engaging content and assisting with the management of BambooHR’s social media channels. The intern will work closely with the Sr. Social Media Manager to develop and execute social media strategies that increase brand awareness and drive engagement across various platforms.
You will:
- Assist in the creation of social media content for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Monitor and engage with BambooHR’s online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Help manage and grow BambooHR’s social media profiles by identifying and leveraging current trends.
- Ideate, create, post, and manage short-form videos for social media.
- Support the development and execution of social media campaigns to promote events, announcements, and community initiatives.
- Conduct regular social media audits to ensure content is accurate and up-to-date.
- Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
- Research and stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and trends.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing BambooHR’s social media presence.
**This will be a paid, full-time internship (M-F, 8-5), running from May to August 2025, based in Draper, Utah with a mix of in-office and virtual work.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Must be tapped into trends on Instagram and TikTok.
- Must be comfortable and confident being on camera for short form videos.
- Can effectively record short form social media videos on an iPhone.
- Passion for social media and familiarity with major social media platforms.
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools and ability to interpret data.
- Must possess an on-camera persona.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and member-focused.
- Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy.
- Understanding and alignment with BambooHR’s mission and values.
- Must be able and willing to gather content in office.
