We are looking for a creative External Video Editor to support our growing library of short-form content.
We film weekly with accredited and verified psychologists, creating educational and engaging content for Instagram Reels, TikTok and other social platforms. We have a large backlog of footage and are looking for an editor who can help us turn this into high-quality, creative, engaging short-form content at scale at a fast rate.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience editing short-form content for social media.
* Strong creative instincts and an understanding of what keeps viewers watching.
* Professional editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro.
* Experience with captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound effects, colour grading and visual effects.
* Comfortable using AI-generated visuals, video and creative tools to make content more dynamic.
* Able to work independently, take creative ownership and make editing decisions.
* Professional hardware capable of handling raw footage, colour grading and high-quality exports.
You should be comfortable using:
* Two-camera angles, punch-ins and zooms to avoid static talking-head content.
* Strong hooks within the first 1–3 seconds.
* Fast cuts, pacing changes and pattern interrupts.
* Kinetic typography, animated text and motion graphics.
* AI-generated visuals and creative B-roll.
* Relevant B-roll, images and overlays.
* Sound effects and music beds.
* Split screens and creative layouts.
* Animated captions and subtitles.
* Colour grading and LUTs.
* Creative transitions and visual effects.
* Strong CTAs and loop-friendly endings.
* Removing dead air, unnecessary pauses and filler words.
* Creating thumbnail-worthy moments.
Export requirements:
All reels must be delivered in:
* 1080 x 1920 (9:16 vertical)
* Minimum bitrate: 24,000 KB/s
* H.264 or equivalent industry-standard codec
* 24, 25 or 30fps, matching the original footage where possible
* Optimised for Instagram Reels, TikTok and other short-form platforms
What we provide:

This is a payment per psychologist edited ($50 - 200). One filming pack takes approximately 2/3 days to cut and edit into short and long form content.
If we are interested in your application we will reach out with a task. This task will encompass you editing one psychologist so we can see your competency visually.
Skills Required

- Experience with captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound effects, color grading, and visual effects
- Ability to use AI-generated visuals, video, and creative tools
- Ability to work independently and take creative ownership
- Professional hardware capable of handling raw footage, color grading, and high-quality exports
- Ability to edit two-camera footage using punch-ins, zooms, fast cuts, pattern interrupts, B-roll, animated captions, and creative layouts
- Ability to deliver video in 1080 x 1920 vertical format using H.264 or equivalent codec at 24, 25, or 30fps
