 We’re looking for a modern-day visual storyteller who values these things, too, and who excels in creating viral social media content and engaging email marketing campaigns in our modern media world. The ideal candidate is skilled in all areas of content creation including digital advertising and marketing automations, effortlessly crafting video shorts and interactive posts that drive engagement across all platforms. The ideal candidate is up to date on the latest social media and communications to create content specifically tailored to each platform. They use digital media to guide audiences through the organizational experience, from drip campaign emails and social media follows, to blog posts and Google ads. They are dynamic, innovative, and driven by this work, and they strive to meet challenges with enthusiasm and creativity.  

Responsibilities include creating innovative social media content and engaging email campaigns, developing video shorts and interactive posts, utilizing digital advertising and marketing automations, and guiding audiences through organizational experience.  

Candidates must live in the Northeastern United States, preferably Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or New Hampshire. This position reports to the Senior Manager, and the team reports to the National Director of Communications.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Content Creation and Management:  

  • Create and manage engaging social media content across all major platforms and monthly email campaigns, including newsletters.  

  • Collaborate with departments to develop social media content and email campaigns.  

  • Align organizational needs with a digital marketing strategy and action plan.  

  • Work with departments to tell authentic stories and provide relevant marketing data.  

  • Develop video shorts, interactive posts, and eye-catching ads to drive engagement.  

  • Build social media templates and maintain a repository of videos, images, and brand templates.  

Marketing Strategy and Execution:  

  • Develop and maintain the annual editorial and marketing calendar.  

  • Utilize email funnels, drip campaigns, scheduled posts, blog posts, and automations to guide the customer journey.  

  • Advertise effectively on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Google, and Facebook.  

  • Manage the advertising budget and track campaign effectiveness.  

Stakeholder Engagement:  

  • Nurture stakeholder connections through social media and email campaigns.  

  • Create an annual outreach to encourage Facebook and Instagram fundraising campaigns.  

  • Track key metrics to improve strategies, evaluate channels, and increase market reach by recruiting, retaining, and reclaiming followers and email users.  

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, communications, or related field.  

  • Proficient in Adobe Premier, Photoshop, Canva, CapCut, Envato, and similar multimedia editing software.  

  • Expert in using Act-On or similar tools for email marketing and automation, including drip campaigns.  

  • 3+ years as an advanced user of YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ads, ChatGPT, and Facebook.  

  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, including audience growth, content creation, scheduling, and analytics.  

  • 3+ years in digital content marketing and advertising, including SEO, paid advertising, and display campaigns.  

  • 3+ years of experience working in a small, remote team environment is preferred.  

  • Strong interdepartmental collaboration skills for developing social media and email campaigns, including e-newsletters.  

  • Excellent writing and communication skills (writing samples required).  

  • Skilled in graphic design for social media assets (samples and skillset activity required).  

  • Self-starter with multitasking and workflow management abilities.  

  • Effective communicator with team and stakeholders, able to ask questions and seek support as needed.  

  • Proficient in using metrics to enhance storytelling and marketing reach.  

  • Experience with social media fundraising campaigns is a plus.
