Day

  • Collaborate with digital, programming, and marketing departments to create digital content across social platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
  • Maximize the social media brands for Woodward Community Media's four music radio stations; WAPL, WZOR, WKSZ, and WFZZ.
  • Actively participate in the Great Game of Business philosophies to ensure the success of the broadcast division.

  • Collaborate with the Digital Director, Brand Manager, and Promotions Director to create and implement a social media strategy focused on growing and engaging audiences for Woodward Community Media's four music radio stations
  • Maintain a detailed social media calendar for each of the four music radio stations
  • Monitor and respond to audience engagement and messages on social media platforms
  • Actively engage with customers, followers, and relevant social media channels in each station's brand voice
  • Cover live events such as concerts, station events, community events, and live broadcasts. Some nights and weekends are required.
  • Collaborate with the station's on-air talent and programming team to create content that complements on-air programming and promotions
  • Develop and curate engaging content (including visuals, videos, and written content)
  • Stay current on social media trends and best practices to continually enhance the stations' social media presence
  • Assist in generating specific campaign reports as requestedi.e. proof of performance screenshots, analytics, etc.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and branding across all station social media platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledgeable of best practices for social media platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube. Basic knowledge of analytics and graphic design with regard to personal and professional use. Collaborates well with others; presents the positive attitude of the company. Preserves confidentiality of customers, advertisers, and the company; commitment to quality, service, and teamwork.

College degree and/or equivalent successful career track with a minimum of three years experience, digital content creation, and marketing experience preferred. Proficiency in Word and spreadsheet applications (Google Business Suite applications preferred), user and administrator knowledge of social media platforms; basic knowledge of advertising and analytics of social media content. Some graphic design and copywriting experience is needed. Knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, Meta Business Manager, YouTube Studio, and Canva is preferred.
