The Role

As a Social Media Content Strategist you’ll be at the forefront of how we engage with audiences in authentic, human, and future-focused ways. You’ll help us meet people where they are, with content that informs, inspires, and builds trust.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute content strategies tailored to our online communities.

  • Write, edit, and format engaging posts, comments, and guides that reflect Vanguard’s voice and values.

  • Monitor trends and conversations to identify opportunities for meaningful engagement.

  • Curate and amplify relevant content, including press coverage and thought leadership.

  • Act as a subject matter expert and strategic partner to internal stakeholders.

  • Build relationships with community members and influencers to foster trust and credibility.

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure a consistent brand voice and visual identity.

  • Manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate creative brainstorms, project updates, and feedback loops.

  • Coordinate internal reviews and approvals to ensure timely, compliant publishing.

  • Use platform best practices—like tagging, cross-posting, and community participation—to boost visibility and engagement.

What it takes:

  • 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, or community management.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.

  • ​Strong executive presence and the ability to engage, influence, and build trust with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization.

  • Strong writing skills with a knack for clarity, tone, and audience resonance.

  • Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword optimization.

  • Experience with social media tools like Khoros, Meltwater, and Talkwalker.

  • Comfort navigating regulated environments and adapting to change.

This role is part of our hybrid work model with Tuesdays – Thursdays required in our offices to foster collaboration and relationships. On Mondays and Fridays, our crew will have the option to work remotely, or continue working from our offices in Malvern PA.
