We’re looking for a creative and highly organized Social Media and Administration Specialist to support a growing Australian hospitality business across social media, digital marketing, reservations, guest communication, and general administration. With around 50% of the role focused on social media and content and 50% on reservations and administration, you’ll help grow the brand while ensuring guests receive prompt and professional support.
This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, works proactively, and enjoys a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, manage important guest and reservation processes, and grow with the business as the role evolves.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the kind of person who:
Social Media and Marketing
- Manage our social media content calendar
- Create and schedule Instagram posts, Reels and Stories
- Edit supplied video footage into engaging short-form content
- Write captions consistent with the brand
- Create graphics and marketing collateral in Canva
- Help promote accommodation, experiences, athlete camps and special events
- Manage and respond to social media comments and messages
- Identify opportunities for new content
- Repurpose existing content across channels
- Assist with email marketing through Mailchimp
- Basic website/WordPress updates
- Monitor social media performance and provide simple monthly reporting
- Turning photos and raw video supplied by the Australian team into polished, engaging content.
Reservations and Administration
- Respond to accommodation enquiries
- Manage and update reservations
- Booking.com and Online Travel Agencies (OTA) administration
- Guest pre-arrival and post-stay communication
- Follow up outstanding payments
- Prepare and send invoices
- Maintain guest records and databases
- Respond to and manage online reviews
- Assist with group, corporate and athlete-camp enquiries
- Maintain spreadsheets and internal records
- Provide general administrative support to the management team
Requirements
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
- Has excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Has professional social media experience, with a strong understanding of Instagram, particularly Reels and Stories.
- Has video editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.
- Has strong Canva skills and experience creating engaging visual content.
- Has experience using Meta Business Suite.
- Has strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging and on-brand content.
- Has excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Has the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Has strong spreadsheet and general computer skills.
- Experience in hotels, tourism, Booking.com, property management systems, Mailchimp, WordPress, or endurance sports brands would be highly regarded.
