Job Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Social Listening Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing social media channels to gather insights about our brand, competitors, and industry trends. Your expertise will help us understand customer sentiment, identify emerging issues, and inform our strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and analyze social media channels to gather insights about brand perception, customer sentiment, and industry trends.

  • Identify and report on emerging issues, potential crises, and opportunities for engagement.

  • Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and other departments to provide actionable recommendations based on social media insights.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics and performance indicators.

  • Utilize social listening tools to track and analyze conversations, hashtags, and keywords relevant to the brand and industry.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve social listening strategies.

  • Provide regular updates and presentations to stakeholders on social media insights and their implications for the business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms: In-depth understanding of various social media platforms, including their functionalities, user behaviors, and trends.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze social media data, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using social listening tools and software, as well as familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in monitoring and analyzing social media content.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify potential issues and opportunities, and develop strategic solutions.

  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptability: Ability to stay current with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and adapt strategies accordingly.

Experience and Education:

Experience:

  • Proven experience in social media monitoring, analysis, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to use social listening tools and software effectively.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to track social media metrics.

  • Previous experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights.

  • Strong background in analyzing social media data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • Additional certifications in social media analytics, digital marketing, or related areas are a plus.
