SoFi is looking for an inventive Social Creator to bring our educational content to life across social platforms. This role sits on the Educational Content team and is responsible for identifying relevant and educational moments inspired by the content we already make (including newsletters, articles, videos, and podcasts) and transforming them into engaging, social-first formats — from short-form video to carousels to post copy. The mission is to build trust, expand reach, and deepen engagement with our audience.

The two most important capabilities for this role are:

  1. End-to-end ownership of the production process — from ideation to scripting to execution, and including performance. You must have a proven track record of successfully creating content and performing on social media.
  2. A journalistic mindset — the ability to research unfamiliar topics, develop subject-matter fluency quickly, and communicate information accurately, clearly, and objectively.

This is a highly visible role. Your face and voice will represent SoFi’s educational content on social, and you’ll play a key role in shaping how audiences experience our expertise and credibility in public.

SoFi’s mission is to help people get their money right. The Educational Content team’s role is to show them how through content that’s credible, relatable, and empowering. We believe financial literacy unlocks ambition, and we build resources that help members feel confident about both their money and the products they use to manage it.

What you’ll do:

  • Concept and produce social content — including video, graphics, carousels, and post copy — inspired by SoFi’s educational articles, newsletters, podcasts, and videos.
  • Translate complex financial topics into clear, engaging, platform-native storytelling without sacrificing accuracy or nuance.
  • Collaborate with editors, designers, and strategists, while maintaining clear creative ownership and accountability for final output.
  • Research unfamiliar financial topics and quickly build working expertise.
  • Apply objectivity, accuracy, and audience empathy when framing educational content for social platforms.
  • Partner with Social and Community teams to implement a social strategy focused on amplifying SoFi’s educational content.
  • Adapt content for platform-specific best practices across Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Reddit, while maintaining a consistent educational voice.
  • Monitor social channels for audience feedback and questions as well as trends related to financial education and incorporate to inform future work.

What you’ll need:

  • 3+ years of experience owning social content creation end to end, ideally for a brand, media company, or content-driven organization.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating short-form video, on-screen text/graphics, and copywriting across platforms.
  • A clear journalistic instinct: curiosity, rigor, objectivity, and the ability to explain complex topics simply.
  • Comfort being on camera and serving as a recognizable voice for educational content.
  • Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and their performance metrics.
  • A data-informed mindset with experience iterating based on results.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience creating or promoting educational, financial, or fintech content.
  • Familiarity with organic and paid social channels and the different strategies that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Familiarity with newsletter growth strategies and audience conversion funnels.
  • Experience working in regulated industries or with compliance-reviewed content.
  • Proficiency with social publishing, analytics, and project-management tools.

What We Do

SoFi wasn’t built to be a bank. Or a technology company. We were built for one mission: help people achieve financial independence so they can realize their ambitions.

Redefining an entire industry isn’t easy work—and it’s not for the faint of heart. It takes a certain kind of team. People with diverse perspectives and expertise, united by a common sense of purpose. People willing to challenge assumptions but always do the right thing. People proving that innovation and responsibility don’t have to compete, but can come together to create something truly unconventional in the world.

For the last eight years, we’ve been charting this new path forward. We call it The SoFi Way.
At SoFi, we don’t just talk about culture: we live it. The SoFi Way is how we show up every day, how we make decisions, and how we build for our members, clients, and each other.

Why Work With Us

Together with our members, we’re changing the way people think about and interact with personal finance. We’re a next-generation Fintech company using innovative, mobile-first technology to help our members reach their goals. The industry is going through an unprecedented transformation, and we’re at the forefront.
