Job Description

About the Role

Our International Auditor Graduate Trainee Program is a 6-8 months bespoke program in our Consumer Products Division within the Operations Department through which you, as a recent graduate, have the opportunity to discover key functions within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) Industry. QIMA’s Operations team is a place where you will receive comprehensive knowledge, skills, and abilities on different Audit schemes to deliver the best service to our worldwide clients.

As part of the program, you will receive extensive training, gain international field experience, travel internationally, and learn how to conduct audits. The key objective of the program is for you to become fully autonomous and obtain an APSCA registration. APSCA is the leading social compliance authority. For more information go to www.theapsca.org

Based in Italy, you will support the Operations Coordination team and help ensure that our Factory Improvement programs consistently exceed our clients’ expectations. As a trainee, you report directly to an Audit Team Leader.

You will be expected to:

  • Successfully complete our 6-8 months auditor training to learn how to conduct audits
  • Progressively become more autonomous and receive APSCA certification
  • Travel within Europe and Asia as needed to perform Audits in different locations (Turkey, Cambodia, India, Vietnam etc...). Travel expenses are of course fully covered by QIMA.
  • Gain actual field experience

Qualifications

The Candidate

It could be you, if you have:

  • a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Law / Labour Law / Environmental Law / Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • a good command of English and Italian (spoken and written), any additional European language a plus;
  • excellent communication skills, high level of conscientiousness, strong sense of rigor, curiosity.
  • a problem solving mindset to turn challenges into solutions with a high level of energy, dynamism and motivation
  • strong perception and logical thinking: you will need to be able to analyze situations in order to identify problems, understand their root causes, and determine the best course of action based on objective facts and figures;
  • high level of diplomacy and tenacity: you will need to facilitate communication with manufacturing sites, while remaining focused on achieving our clients’ objectives;
  • high level of professionalism: as a representative of both QIMA and our clients, the highest degree of ethics and professionalism in communication and attitude is a must.
  • willingness to travel and work in an international context (part of the training would be 2 months abroad)
