SoC / System Architect

As a member of Alphawave Semi’s Custom Services Group, you will help bring to life a new generation of compute chiplets based on the latest generation of Arm’s Neoverse CPUs. These chiplets will find homes in an exciting array of applications including high-performance compute, AI inference, storage solutions, and networking infrastructure.

SoC / System Architect

What You'll Do

• Drive the SoC architecture of an ARM Neoverse-based chiplet and future custom derivatives
• Define system-level use cases for a variety of applications and explore architectural tradeoffs
• Document performance metrics and collaborate with design and verification teams to ensure requirements are met
• Cultivate relationships with both internal and external IP and Firmware development partners
• Engage with customers and solution partners in support of pre-sales activities
• Specify IP including PCIe, UCIe, USB, Ethernet MAC, I3C, DDR, HBM and others as required
• Document the architecture and IP integration micro-architecture of SoC-level components

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+yrs of experience architecting high-performance computing (HPC) and/or artificial intelligence SoCs
• Reporting to the VP SOC Architecture and Systems
• Expertise with a combination of ARM AMBA protocols (AXI, CHI), I/O interfaces (PCIe, UCIe), high-performance memory subsystems (DDR, HBM), and other system-level peripheral interfaces
• Adaptability to working in a muti-geographical / cross-cultural environment
• Knowledge of server-class security, boot, and debug solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary and Benefits

Your contribution will be recognized with a base salary within the range of $225,000 to $250,000 annually as It is influenced by your qualifications, experience, location, and the internal equity of our team to ensure fairness and consistency across roles. In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, employees are also eligible for additional compensation opportunities, including a short-term incentive program, Retirement & Saving Programs and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
