The Opportunity:
Join our dynamic Managed Services capability within NCC Group and be at the forefront of our exciting growth journey! As the SOC Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and expanding our Security Operations Centre presence in Manila to support clients of our managed services business globally. This newly created role will be pivotal to enabling NCC Group’s Global Managed Services capability to establish and grow our Security Operations Centre presence in Manila. Key Accountabilities:
- Build and develop the Security Operations Centre in Manila, through leading a team of SOC Analysts initially, working closely with the established regional SOC teams to implement standardised ways of working and procedures for clients. We have plans to continue to grow our managed services capability and the team size and shape will grow with this role and may eventually manage team lead/managers.
- Develop the team who will specialize in clients that leverage our MXDR detection platforms.
- Produce and review aggregated performance metrics for the Manila SOC
- Accountable and measured on the implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Conduct monthly/half year/yearly performance evaluation and mentorship for direct reports.
- Co-ordinate and implement the ongoing training strategy to ensure analysts at all levels of the SOC are fully supported with technical training.
- Hold accountability for meeting SOC related KPI’s for all services under your governance within the MXDR SOC. (capacity, SLAs)
- Support any client engagements as required
- Co-ordinate 24/7 shift cover for the Manila SOC operations. This includes managing an Out of Hours Rota to ensure the SOC has round the clock coverage for clients.
- Collaborate with the Operations leadership team on long-term operations strategy planning and execution.
- Collaborate with regional SOC leadership on process alignment, onboarding clients and the standardization of operating playbooks.
- Regularly update the VP, Managed Services Operations on the SOCs activities, performance, and any notable incidents.
- Contribute to strategic decisions on the operation of the global MXDR SOC and the SOC roadmap.
- Hold responsibility for NCC Groups internal “go-live” process for services delivered from Manila, ensuring all pre-checks have been completed.
- Support ad-hoc audits of the SOC.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cybersecurity
- Experience in managerial or leadership role within a SOC environment.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and incident response platforms.
- Knowledge of network security, endpoint security, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
