This engineering position provides SoC Engineer support to global design teams on supplier SoC compliance confirmation and supplier IMDS review; customer IMDS &CAMDS reporting and SoC regulations compliance confirmation. He/she also needs to keep tracking BorgWarner product related SoC regulations updates and confirm the SoC compliance for customers, identify risks of incompliance in advance and support design teams to remove restricted substances.
Responsibilities:
v Support global design team on customer substance of concern requirements review and new project compliance confirmation.
v Support customer MDS reporting through IMDS and CAMDS within required project timeline.
v Support to review suppliers’ IMDS reporting and compliance confirmation, to support PPAP completion.
v Keep tracking new regulations or laws on substance of concern updates and support global design team on substance of concern remove and limitation.
v Attend industry conferences on substance of concern regulations/laws updating and communication, keep close update the company requirements per latest regulations/laws.
Qualifications:
v Bachelor’s Degree or above, majoring in material or chemical engineering are preferred
v At least 3 years of experience in automotive SoC management.
v Familiar with SoC regulations/laws such as GB/T30512, ELV, GADSL, REACH, RoHS, POPs PFAS regulation, etc.
v Familiar with IMDS reporting rules/guidelines, understanding customer’s IMDS reporting requirements, holding MDS management engineering certification is preferred.
v Fluent in spoken English and written English, good analytical, interpersonal.
