Job Description:
As a SoC Design Engineer Intern in the MPU Design Team you will work with our multi-sited global Silicon Development Team in design and development of complex SoCs. The work will include SoC design integration, microarchitecture study and design verification.
Responsibilities
Learn and understand the current SoC Processor Sub-System based on ARM Cores (components, testbenches, integration, debug and TrustZone security features).
Evaluate a SoC Processor Sub-System based on RISC-V for a new generation of products.
Study the Worldguard security and debug architecture. Identify potential functions to be developed in cooperation with our IP team (i.e. firewall) and reusable modules from existing Microchip RISC-V platform.
RTL integration (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and verification with dedicated testbenches (C and SystemVerilog).
Technical documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The position is open to students pursuing the mandatory undergraduate internship (final year of engineering school) or Master students in Electronics.
Basic knowledge about CMOS technology and verification of digital circuits.
Knowledge of microcontrollers or microprocessors architecture.
Knowledge of at least one RTL language (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog) and C coding.
Excellent problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication, and the ability to work across functional groups and organizations.
Very good knowledge of English and communications skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications :
Experience with digital verification tools.
Experience with scripting languages (cshell, tcl, python).
Hands-on lab/debug experience in RTL (Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL).
