Our client is a cybersecurity solutions provider offering security and risk consulting, managed security services, and threat detection through its Cyber Defence Security Operations Centre (CSOC), helping organizations safeguard critical assets and strengthen overall security posture.
They are seeking to hire an SOC Analyst to monitor security systems, manage incidents, support users, and ensure effective protection and availability of critical security infrastructure within SLA.
Job Responsibilities
- Operational Management and Technical support of company Security Systems and their underpinning
processes and services.
- Centralized management, control and reporting of issues, queries, incidents and requests
associated with the Security Systems, to ensure that all Incidents are managed and that regular,
quantitative and qualitative communication takes place with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Security Systems requests and Incidents resolution within SLA.
- Corrective maintenance - Defined as activities associated with root-cause analysis and bug-fix
isolation and resolution.
- Application Monitoring (Maintenance) - Regular and proactive monitoring of the Security
Systems in order to assure the integrity of the data and performance of the systems.
- Regular
Application Health Checks will be performed with corrective actions taken where required.
- Adequate monitoring must be in place for all critical indicators on the applications (web, app,
database, Operating systems and infrastructure).
- Process monitoring in terms of success, failure,
reasons for failure.
- Space utilization monitoring and management ensuring archiving as necessary to maintain space
availability and ensure optimal performance.
- Release management - Manage the transition of new development or modifications that are to be
transitioned into support, including the operational handover and management of these
developments.
a. Status reporting:Regular status reports will be produced and reviewed at service meetings
between company and the partner. The regularity and content of these reports and meetings will be
determined by the company. Regular status meetings will be held to review the status of open incidents and problems. The regularity and content of these meetings will be determined by the company.
b. Application Support: Corrective and preventive maintenance to the Security Systems, data
management, resolution of Incidents and delivering onService requests
c. Service & Service Delivery Management: Which includes compliance to and participation in the Company Nigeria Vendor Management program processes and procedures and the management of
these services to the Company.
d. Supporting the users with use of the application - Advice about or education on how to
use/interpret data. Grant users access as applicable providing guidance on how to use the
available functionality.
Integration of Support for new/changes/integration related to additional nodes/services/etc.
e. Policy compliance: Ensure compliance to all the Company Nigeria Group Information Security Policy
requirements and processes
Controls – There must be Applicable automated Data quality controls/reporting implemented.
f. Controls- There must be Applicable automated Data quality controls/reporting implemented to enable any exceptions to be quickly identified and addressed
g. Licence Management- Monitoring and management of all licenses to ensure adherence within specified license limits and prevent expiry.
h. Support: Vendor will provide support for all the supported systems captured in the scope 24 X 7 X 365 for weekend, holiday, Standby and Emergency
Note: Support could be Onsite or Offsite (this is dependent on business exigencies).
- Bug fixes- Defined as the emergency repair of any system operation/component that is required to comply with the approved and latest system specification. This includes system errors, unexpected results within the system that render it unusable for the purpose for which it was designed.
- Provide customer support and service support for Group SOC
- Provide service with scalable support for bidirectional customer interaction
- Recommends how to optimize security monitoring tools

Job Requirements
- First Degree in Computer Science or related area of study.
- At least 4 years post NYSC hands-on experience in CybersecurityAbility to use vulnerability scanning tools and other Blue team tools is required.
- Ability to use vulnerability scanning tools and other Blue team tools is required.
Skill Requirements:
- CEH
- CASP
- OEM certifications for platforms in scope (added advantage)
- CISSP
- CISM
