Position Summary: When the sun goes down and temperatures drop below freezing, our snowmakers gear-up and head out on the mountain. Facing challenging weather and difficult mountain terrain, our snowmakers perform the physically demanding job of tending to our snowmaking equipment. This position plays an instrumental role in creating the product that our guests enjoy: advanced, intermediate, beginner terrain, learning areas, terrain parks and racecourses. It all starts with our snowmakers.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment
- Must have an interest in learning about the process of making snow
- Must have a willingness to work 12-hour shifts, day or night
- Previous snowmaking/ ski area experience preferred, but not required
- Passionate about supporting Eldora’s “Play Forever” initiative, promoting environmental protection, and community engagement.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $22+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
- Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
