Program Description:

CAMBA administers services at the Albany Community Center, Boulevard Community Center, Brevoort Community Center, Cypress Hills Community Center, Howard Community Center, Penn Wortman Community Center, Pink Houses Community Center, Sheepshead Bay Community Center, Stuyvesant Gardens Community Center, and Van Dyke Community Center in Brooklyn. All Cornerstone programs are run in partnership with other community organizations to provide education, recreation, cultural activities, health information and screenings, youth leadership, and social services to the neighborhood’s students, their families, and other residents. Activities and services are available after school, evenings, and on weekends.

Position: SNL Supervisor

Reports To: Supervisor II 

Location: Various Brooklyn Locations 

What Does the SNL Supervisor Do: 

  • Oversee all evening and weekend operations at the Cornerstone Center, including programming for middle school youth, high school participants, and adults.  
  • Ensure safe, structured, and engaging programming during extended hours  
  • Supervise program activities and ensure they are running as scheduled and aligned with program goals.  
  • Manage and support front desk operations, including ensuring accurate participant sign-in and sign-out procedures.  
  • Supervise and provide direction to assigned staff, ensuring active engagement and proper facilitation of activities.  
  • Monitor staff performance during shifts and address any issues in real time.  
  • Oversee use of shared spaces and coordinate with co-located partners utilizing the facility during evenings and weekends.  
  • Ensure all participants and partners adhere to site rules, safety protocols, and program expectations.  
  • Respond to incidents, conflicts, or emergencies and follow all CAMBA and DYCD protocols.  
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence on-site to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.  
  • Coordinate evening and weekend schedules, activities, and space usage to maximize participation and efficiency.  
  • Communicate regularly with the Program Director and leadership team regarding operations, challenges, and successes.  
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed, including attendance, incident reports, and activity logs.  
  • Support outreach and engagement efforts to increase participation in evening and weekend programming.  
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to continuous program improvement.  
  • Tasks may be modified, expanded, or reassigned based on program needs.   

What are the Qualifications for the Position: 

Education, Licenses and/or Certifications Required: 

  • HS Diploma or GED and 3 years applicable experience, or Associate’s degree (A.A.) and 2 years experience, or Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience.   

Minimum Experiences and Skills Required:  

  •  Two years of relevant experience. 

Compensation:26.60 hourly

When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.

Status: Temporary/Seasonal Part-Time
