As an SMTS / DMTS - Wet Etch, you'll provide technical leadership for strategic process technology pathfinding initiatives that compose Micron's future NAND roadmap. Your mission: drive exciting wet process and chemistry breakthroughs, define long-range technology direction, and build positive relationships with internal and external partners to support next-generation memory solutions. This position is for a recognized technical leader who thrives on transforming emerging science, novel materials, and radical process technologies into advantages for future NAND generations.
Responsibilities:
  • Guide wet process and chemistry exploration for upcoming NAND technologies.
  • Develop and evaluate advanced wet etch, clean, and surface modification solutions.
  • Drive innovation through partnerships with suppliers, research institutes, and industry collaborators.
  • Apply AI-enabled engineering tools, advanced analytics, and digital workflows to accelerate learning, decision-making, and R&D efficiency.
  • Collaborate across Process Integration, Thin Films, Dry Etch, Diffusion, Lithography, CMP, and Device teams.
  • Mentor engineers and foster technical excellence and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in wet process technology, surface science, and semiconductor materials interactions.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor technology development and process integration.
  • Proven track record in advanced R&D, innovation leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience applying AI/ML, data science, and modeling to technology development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD/MS in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 15+ years of semiconductor process development, pathfinding, or advanced R&D experience.
  • Experience leading technology roadmaps, supplier collaborations, and strategic research programs.
