What are the most common activities?
In order to grow and build a successful career at The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes through time and motion studies, line balancing, and method optimization.
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Design, modify, and optimize tools, fixtures, and assembly devices to enhance ergonomics, safety, and productivity.
- Support New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring smooth transitions from prototype to production.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and technical standards.
- Monitor and analyze SMT line performance (FPY, scrap, downtime) and lead corrective/preventive actions.
- Validate and optimize process parameters and reflow thermal profiles according to IPC standards.
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure process stability and compliance.
- Participate in audits, equipment validations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train operational personnel on process best practices and new engineering implementations.

What do you need?
To be considered for this position, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree: Mechatronics, Electronics, Electromechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Five plus (5+) years of experience.
- Proven experience in SMT processes (printer, pick & place, reflow, AOI, SPI).
- Participation in continuous improvement projects, cost reduction initiatives, and new product launches (NPI).
- Knowledge of line balancing, time and motion studies, ergonomics, and process documentation.
- Experience in equipment validation, process development, and supporting quality audits (internal or customer).
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- PMEA.
Preferred Requirements:
- CAD Software.
- Power BI.
- Advanced Excel.
