Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SME recruiter to help on SME recruitment, who will support Coursera's global vendor strategy (as set by the Vendor Management team) and also recruit SMEs for our SME enablement goals. This role is crucial to optimizing our SME based partnerships (both individual and vendor), managing cost structures, revenue share etc. The role will also ensure that we source the highest quality subject matter experts for in-house production and for SME enablement. The SME recruiter will be responsible for building contractor SOWs, Revenue share agreements, processing invoicing (including revenue shares), reviewing resumes and finally adding to the existing database of SMEs. Also, by implementing the defined processes and formalizing agreements to reduce recruiting timelines to weeks (this resource will be important in setting recruitment timelines based on set requirements and will need to get onshore and offshore SMEs as per project(s) needs).

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in SME recruitment, contracting, invoicing, etc., with the ability to ensure adherence to Coursera’s quality standards, and foster strategic partnerships/relationships over a SME network.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to processes for SME recruitment as set by the Vendor Management Team. 
    • The role will oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and management of SME resources for content development. Create and manage recruitment SOWs as needed
    • The role will also oversee identifying, recruiting, hiring, creating partnership agreements, onboarding (and hence handing over) SMEs so that they can develop content as per SME enablement goal.
    • The resource manager will apply proven skills to analyze, problem-solve, identify, communicate, organize, and manage SME participation in projects related to content development and SME enablement
  • Review and track SMEs requests from various stakeholders for content development and SME enablement separately. Track and update status on a weekly basis on SME recruitment to key stakeholders / teams
  • Track and process invoices from SMEs, recruitment agencies/vendors as needed for both content development and SME enablement
  • Collect and monitor pricing information to establish standardized pricing frameworks across various subject lines
  • Reduce SME recruiting timelines by improving current workflows and processes.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with recruitment vendors, fostering collaboration to drive quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments / teams on SME needs to understand demand
  • Manages SME participation in development projects
  • Maintains efficient communication with SME and internal stakeholders. Acts as liaison between internal stakeholders and SMEs
  • Processes and manages feedback for SME participation in both content development and SME enablement

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in SME recruitment, vendor management, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in SME recruitment, managing SME & vendor relationships.
  • Expertise in SOWs, and other contractual documents related to SME agreements.
  • Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite / MS Office Suite, including Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
