Job description
The SMB Account Executive is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities with customers generating up to $50 million in revenue, primarily through phone, email, and digital engagement, supporting the broader sales pipeline and revenue growth strategy.
Your responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation and Qualification: Identify potential customers through targeted outreach, inbound leads and marketing campaigns, qualifying prospects based on their needs, budget, and readiness to purchase.
  • Sales Outreach and Follow-Up: Conduct high-volume outreach via phone, email, and digital channels to engage with prospects, build rapport, and move them through the initial stages of the sales pipeline.
  • Product Presentation and Value Proposition: Communicate the company's product offerings and value proposition in a clear, compelling way, tailoring the message to the needs of smaller-scale customers (up to $50M in revenue).
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of leads and opportunities in CRM systems, tracking progress against targets and providing regular updates to sales management.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Marketing Teams: Work closely with sales management, channel, and marketing teams to share prospect feedback, align outreach strategies, and ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads for further development.
  • Achieving Sales Targets:Meet expected sales quotas and KPI targets, demonstrating consistent effort and the potential for growth within the sales organisation.


Qualifications

  • Some prior experience in a sales or business development role, showcasing foundational skills in engaging customers and handling basic objections.
  • Familiarity with CRM Systems (e.g., Salesforce, Gong).
  • Ability to clearly articulate the product's value proposition and respond to common customer inquiries, ensuring prospects understand the benefits and relevance of the solution.
  • Comfort with reviewing simple sales metrics, lead data, and basic customer insights to identify early trends and inform outreach tactics.
