We are currently seeking a Lead Specialist – Application Support for Smart Materials, reporting directly to the Application Systems Manager. This key role is based in Nanterre, Paris, within our Transversal Operational Excellence Platforms team. If you have a strong business acumen, coupled with experience in oil & gas engineering projects, or a background as an IT Product Owner or Project Manager with knowledge of Oracle-based applications or Hexagon software, we want to hear from you.
Your Role in Our Vision
At Technip Energies, we leverage Smart Materials (Hexagon software built on Oracle) to optimize material management across all our onshore and offshore projects. This system underpins critical workflows in Engineering, Procurement, Expediting, Traffic, and Construction, supporting our global operations through a dedicated team in Paris.
As a Lead Specialist, you will be instrumental in deploying and supporting Smart Materials solutions, ensuring seamless integration with other applications, and enabling our teams worldwide to operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and deployment of Smart Materials for new projects, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
- Develop and deliver training materials to empower operating centers and project teams, fostering best practices.
- Conduct training sessions for superusers and new users to maximize system adoption.
- Provide Level 2 support to resolve user issues promptly and efficiently.
- Evaluate and qualify new software versions or updates of Smart Materials.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve bugs or system issues.
- Work closely with departments, project teams, and operating centers to gather requirements and propose tailored solutions.
- Define and monitor the implementation plans for Smart Materials across projects.
Your Impact
- Functionally oversee development activities in partnership with the Smart Materials development team.
- Analyze business requirements to recommend optimal solutions, balancing technical feasibility with operational needs.
- Facilitate clear communication between business stakeholders and IT developers, supporting digital transformation initiatives.

- You possess substantial experience in the oil & gas industry, with a solid understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction workflows.

- Fluent in English, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Skills Required
- Substantial experience in the oil & gas industry
- Solid understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) workflows
- Experience as an IT Product Owner or Project Manager
- Knowledge of Oracle-based applications
- Familiarity with Hexagon software and Smart Materials
- Experience deploying and supporting enterprise material management systems
- Experience delivering training and creating procedures, training materials, and technical documentation
- Fluent English and strong interpersonal and written communication skills
