 About the Job

In this role the applicant will administrate Smart P&ID and other 2D applications for the benefit of our engineering projects and clients.  They will work with other engineering tool admins, designers, information managers, and engineering discipline leads to create, maintain, and deliver engineering data and deliverables to clients and downstream customers.


Main Skills

  • Proficiency in data-centric workflows that leverage the drawing data for downstream disciplines, digital integration, and digital twin.
  • Effective communicator (spoken and written): In this role, the administrator will have significant interaction with workshare offices in TEN so communication skills are very important.
  • Able to collaborate and nimble to support others when necessary.
  • Able to break down complex problems (analytical) and respond change quickly (adaptable)
  • Self-driven and motivated
  • Able to think conceptually to see the big picture of how P&ID development fits into the project life cycle and support that life cycle.
  • Spanish language proficiency is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and maintenance of Smart P&ID projects. This includes deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting, and closeout/archive in coordination with Digiteam/IT and Project Information Management.
  • Function as the technical lead for P&ID data management to support project and development initiatives in coordination with project information managers and business application owners. This includes but is not limited to data visualizations, data handover, and specific project needs.
  • Smart P&ID automation and customization in alignment with global developments.
  • Maintain and develop reference documentation and training materials used by designers, administrators, engineers, information managers, and project engineering managers.
  • Stay current with industry developments and communicate development to the TEN stakeholders. This includes but is not limited to participating in local technical user forums (LTUFs) and communicating application news and updates to the local team.

Qualifications:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of Hexagon/Octave Smart P&ID administration experience.
  • A minimum of an engineering bachelor’s degree or a related field with 10+ years’ experience regarding P&ID development and engineering design in engineering projects.
  • The applicant should have significant experience with the administration of Smart P&ID and the development of applications (LMA) to support that effort, including a working knowledge of the database architecture.
  • Any experience with other engineering applications (SI, SEL, S3D, SMAT, etc…) as well as programming skills in VBA, .NET, Python, and C# are an asset.

Languages: English with professional proficiency. Other languages could be useful as well when working with our high value execution centers.

Skills Required
