Slots Floorperson

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The primary responsibility of the Slots Floorperson is to assist guests with slot machine payouts and enrollment to the Rio Rewards Players Club program. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental property policies, practices, and procedures.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Pays slot machine jackpots, performs ticket fills, and completes the required paperwork neatly and accurately.

• Enroll guests in the Rio Rewards Players Club

• Make minor repairs to slot machines by clearing EZ-Pay ticket jams.

• Circulate through an assigned section and respond to slot machine lights in a quick and timely manner.

• Keep well informed of the various types of slot machines on the casino floor to better assist guests in looking for a particular type of machine or denomination.

• Maintain a “pouch pay” currency bank to pay hand-pay jackpots and provide change assistance to guests.

• Recommend shows, restaurants, and attractions to guests and stay current on company and departmental news and events to answer guests’ questions.

• Report all underage guests that are on the casino floor.

• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

• General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handling

• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.

• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

• At least 21 years of age.

PREFERRED

• Experience with Delphi preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.

• Must regularly lift and/move up to 10 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.

PAY RANGE

• The pay range for this position is $18.00/hour.
