Position Summary: 

A Skip Tracer Administrative Assistant your primary responsibilities will be locating a customer’s locations for process of service and assets. Here at Proof we are looking for a skip tracer to join our investigations team with ongoing skip tracing requirements of our customers. We are looking for an energized individual when it comes to online investigations. Someone who has an investigative mindset and an analytical brain.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform skip trace activities in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Locate customers using basic and advanced skip tracing tools
  • Communicate with third parties for the purpose of acquiring customers’ location information
  • Search private databases, public records, and the world wide web
  • Analyze information to determine the next service address
  • Maintain detailed records related to skip activities
  • File skip requests from internal partners
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Comply with all office policies and procedures
  • Assist with the management of daily operational activities

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 years of skip tracing or private investigative experience preferred
  • Ability and knowledge of locating public records at a county, state, and federal level
  • Excellent analytical, research, investigative, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong internet navigation skills
  • Experience with Google Suite applications (Gmail, Docs, and Sheets)
  • Desire to work with others in achieving company and client goals
  • A degree in digital forensics or equivalent private investigator experience is preferred 
  • General knowledge of coding languages is preferred
  • Desire to work with others in achieving company and client goals

Other Work Requirements:

  • May be required to work evenings and some weekends

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, dependent on experience and location. Overtime available.
  • Eligible to participate in company bonus plan
  • Full time, hourly position

  • Flexible time off (paid planned and sick time, and paid holidays)
