This position involves a blend of field-based customer support, travel, and remote work. Approximately 50% of the role requires travel within the assigned region, primarily for customer visits that can typically be completed within the same day. An additional 25% of the role involves travel outside the region, which may require overnight hotel stays. The remaining 25% is dedicated to remote customer support, administration, and completing required documentation and paperwork. As regular travel is an essential component of this position, candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a current clean driving record.Job Description:
What You'll Do
Deliver Exceptional Customer Support
Provide expert technical support for SITECH and Caterpillar technology products and solutions.
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, remote support, and onsite visits in a timely and professional manner.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software, hardware, and system issues to minimize customer downtime.
Recommend corrective actions and practical solutions that help customers maximize productivity.
Document support cases, solutions, and customer interactions using company systems.
Coordinate with internal service teams and escalate complex technical issues when required.
Lead Customer Training & Technology Adoption
Identify customer learning needs and deliver tailored training programs.
Support implementation and deployment of new technology solutions at customer sites.
Conduct hands-on training for operators, surveyors, project managers, and other end users.
Mentor colleagues and provide product and process training to internal team members.
Continuously expand product knowledge and maintain expertise across a rapidly evolving technology portfolio.
Support Sales & Customer Success
Partner with Technology Sales Representatives to understand customer challenges and business objectives.
Conduct product demonstrations showcasing technology capabilities and return on investment.
Help customers identify solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and operational performance.
Manage Technology Assets
Maintain accurate inventory records for demonstration equipment, rental units, tooling, and technology assets.
Track equipment loaned or rented to customers and ensure proper inventory controls.
Build Strong Relationships
Develop trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Contribute to high customer satisfaction through responsive service and a solutions-focused approach.
Provide valuable feedback on product performance, failure trends, and serviceability improvements.
What We're Looking For:
✔️ 5+ years of experience in surveying, civil construction, mining operations, engineering, or a related field
✔️ Diploma or certification in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related discipline preferred (equivalent experience considered)
✔️ Strong understanding of surveying principles, construction workflows, machine control, and technology deployment
