Peraton requires Database Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.
This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
This role requires a strong technical foundation and will be responsible for managing complex database environments, ensuring data integrity and availability, optimizing performance, and implementing robust security and compliance measures. This position requires knowledge and experience with SQL Server, and prefers familiarity with other major database management systems such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. The Database Administrator must demonstrates the ability to pay keen attention to detail, possess a strong customer service orientation and have the ability to work as part of a team.
- Design and Architecture: Design, install, configure, and maintain secure and scalable database systems in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Availability: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot high availability/disaster recovery solutions such as failover-cluster instances and availability groups.
- Performance: The administrator should have experience in DBMS performance optimization and be able to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Security: The administrator should have a deep understanding of DBMS security and be able to implement and maintain administrative and technical controls.
- Collaboration: The administrator should be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other administrators, engineers, and stakeholders across multiple time zones.
- Communication: The administrator must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Communicates effectively both orally and in writing

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
