THE OPPORTUNITY
With a strong pipeline of exciting projects, Dematic is seeking an experienced and driven Site Supervisor to join our Project Delivery team in Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale warehouse automation projects for leading customers.
This is an 18-month full time fixed term contract position (with the possibility to extend) that is responsible for coordinating installation, commissioning, and engineering activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be at the heart of bringing complex automation systems into full production, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
Preparing and reviewing drawings and plans for mechanical and electrical installations
Liaising with clients, direct builders and sub-contractors
Proactively promoting innovation, improvement, risk identification and safety management covering Occupational Health, Safety and the Environment
Obtaining necessary materials and resources
Organising and supervising the inspection and maintenance of the installed equipment
Day to day management of sub-contractors
Coordinating regular inspection of works for quality assurance
Implement commissioning
Ensuring safe installation procedures
SETTING YOU UP FOR SUCCESS REQUIRES
5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor/Manager installing large capital projects
Mechanical and/or Electrical trade background
Technical knowledge of material handling equipment would be an advantage
Thorough knowledge of WHSE requirements
Strong and clear communication skills
Proven team leadership skills
Strong computer skills in MS office products
Availability to travel interstate and overseas (APAC region) when required
