Job Description

At the heart of our customers' mechanical and electrical building projects, the Site Supervisor will contribute to the smooth running of ongoing projects. You'll be required to be present on site, as well as to work from home and from our brand-new office. You'll be responsible for providing personalized, professional services for multidisciplinary projects in the Gatineau region. You'll be working in a wealth-creating industry, as part of a team renowned for the quality of its achievements.

The person we're looking for must have a knowledge of engineering (civil, structural, electrical or mechanical) as well as the ability to solve problems of all kinds. This position allows you to learn exponentially about the building sector, while collaborating with colleagues from several disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Take on coordination duties for a variety of projects involving diverse stakeholders in residential, commercial, institutional and hospital environments;
  • Supervise work and ensure start-up;
  • Prepare and issue change directives;
  • Monitor site progress, raise delays/issues and notify project manager;
  • Make on-the-spot decisions at site coordination meetings or return with solutions;
  • Follow-up and collect data for site directives;
  • Attend site meetings and conduct site visits;
  • Ensure work compliance and provide technical support.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in building mechanics or electricity (or equivalent experience)
  • 4 years' experience in site supervision, or 6 years' equivalent relevant experience on a construction site in electricity, tinsmithing, control or plumbing/pipefitting.
  • ASP Construction course (an asset)
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle
  • Proven experience in building mechanics or electricity, with effective site management skills and good command of techniques
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Excellent communication and priority management skills.
