Site Supervisor - Communications
Stryker, Operating Theatre Installations (ANZ)
Stryker is a Fortune 500 global healthcare leader operating across orthopaedics, medical surgical systems, neurotechnology, and spine. Within our Communications division, we design, equip, and integrate advanced operating theatre solutions across Australia and New Zealand. Operating theatre installations are at the core of what we do, turning raw building spaces into fully integrated, high tech surgical environments.
We are seeking an confident, hands on Site Supervisor to take direct ownership of live operating room installations from early site preparation through to commissioning, clinical handover, and client sign off.
This role is less about what you already know, and more about who you are. We'll teach you the technical side. What we can't teach is the character, curiosity and people skills you bring with you.
What you'll do
Owning the site: Lead daily site operations, trade inductions, work sequencing, and safety compliance in active hospital developments and commercial builds.
Managing builders and trades: Act as Stryker's main voice on site. You will work alongside main contractors, sub trades, and hospital engineers, keeping everyone aligned on schedule and quality.
Handling tough conversations: When site conditions do not match the drawings or trades fall behind, you will address it directly and get things back on track.
Quality and Commissioning: Oversee the structural mounting, wiring, and setup of medical gear. You will run final inspections and defect checks so handover goes smoothly.
Handover and Training: Once the space is ready, you will walk clinical teams, biomedical staff, and hospital managers through the new setup.
Who you are
A natural relationship builder who people trust quickly, from trades teams to surgeons.
Calm and considered in the hard conversations, especially around quality and safety.
Detail focused, taking pride in shared wins and noticing what others miss.
Curious and hands on, happy to work independently but never afraid to ask for help.
Willing to travel Monday to Friday across ANZ, with your weekends kept free.
A trade, technical or coordination background helps but isn't essential. Recent graduates and career changers are warmly welcomed. If you've got the potential, we'll build the rest with you.
Why join Stryker?
This is a role where your work has real meaning. You'll stand in the finished theatre knowing that surgeons and patients will rely on a space you helped create. You'll work inside some of the leading hospitals across Australia and New Zealand, alongside genuinely world class medical technology, with the autonomy to run your own installations and a team that backs you. And as you grow, so does the opportunity, into larger projects and pathways across project management, engineering and leadership.
