Position Summary: This position is primarily focused on glass wash services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking up and returning glassware twice daily
  • Washing glassware
  • Sterilization of glassware
  • Keeping Metrics of glassware washed, broken glassware, and sterilization of glassware
  • Maintaining a professional washroom area at all times.
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout the customer location
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Successfully implement site operations and maintenance procedures with a focus on glass wash activities.
  • Ensure all site-specific protocols are strictly adhered to, maintaining a flawless work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine and meet site needs efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner, ensuring quality and excellence are upheld.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support to all site users.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to support site operations.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Working Conditions

  • Works primarily at customer locations, in an office environment to include in and around shipping/receiving docks, stockrooms, storage locations and laboratory environments.
  • Will be required to work independently at a customer location
  • At times, job duties may require travel between buildings (within walking distance)
  • Will be able to use material handling equipment such as push carts
  • Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment will be worn to include lab coats, safety gloves and safety glasses

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a scientific or laboratory setting.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate and foster collaboration within the team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Diligent approach with a dedication to upholding high standards of quality.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $16.78–$26.16.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
