Sun Life Health is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys digging into the numbers, solving problems, and playing an important role in the financial operations of a growing healthcare organization.
What You’ll Do- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, allocations, and reconciliations
- Analyze financial activity, variances, and unusual transactions
- Assist with financial reporting, budgets, audits, and regulatory reporting
- Support grants and restricted fund accounting
- Help improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
- Develop Excel-based schedules and financial analyses
- Provide support and guidance to other Finance team members
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; Bachelor’s preferred
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Healthcare or FQHC finance experience preferred
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred
