Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor the site’s Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies in compliance with statutory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections and training to ensure safe work practices.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts at the workplace.
- Liaise with the Safety Officer, O&M Manager, Engineers, Technicians, and subcontractors on safety-related issues.
- Review and ensure safety compliance of work documents (MOS, HIRARC, O&M Manual, HSE Plan, etc.) before work execution.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation including reports, checklists, and records of incidents or near misses.
- Participate in emergency response and assist in incident and near-miss investigation and reporting.
- Ensure workers and visitors comply with site safety rules and use proper PPE.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement at the project site.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Yellow Book (Site Safety Supervisor) certificate registered with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia).
- Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in construction or renewable energy projects (solar project experience is an added advantage).
- Good knowledge of Malaysian safety regulations and standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and observation skills.
- Able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced project environment.
