JOB SUMMARY

     We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Reliability Engineer to join our infrastructure team. This role integrates principles of cloud engineering, DevOps, and automation with systems engineering to build and maintain resilient, scalable, and efficient infrastructure platforms.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering and a strong desire to expand into development-focused responsibilities. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will apply reliability best practices, automate operational tasks, and engineer solutions to complex infrastructure challenges. You will also gain exposure to modern software development methodologies and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across infrastructure and application domains.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and monitoring solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address reliability and scalability issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues across applications, environments, and infrastructure.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute to improvement action items.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of software and services.
  • Continuously learn and apply best practices in DevOps and cloud engineering.



COMPETENCIES

  • DevOps and Cloud Engineering: Understand production workload requirements and designs automation solutions using infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native tooling across AWS and GCP.
  • Infrastructure/Configuration as Code: Familiar with tools like Terraform and for scalable and repeatable provision of Infrastructure workloads.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing microservices.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Capable of implementing and utilizing monitoring/logging solutions such as New Relic, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Scripting & Automation: Able to write scripts in Python, Shell, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrates a growth mindset and commitment to staying current with industry’s best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Incident Response & Postmortems: Experience participating in incident reviews and contributing to actionable improvements.

Must have skills:

  • Experience supporting development teams in DevOps or cloud engineering (1+ year).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps tools.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.


Good to have/ Desired skills:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Awareness of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., New Relic, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
  • Prior experience working in agile or collaborative team environments.




EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent .

 Holding certificate relevant to Cloud, K8s would be added advantage.
