Overview: As an SRE at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), will play a key role in the availability, reliability, and resiliency of Litera’s SaaS applications and technology services. You will participate in designing, building, enhancing, and supporting next-generation applications and services while safeguarding vital systems. You will follow and uphold industry best practices for configuration management, change management, incident management, application monitoring, resource scaling, high availability, and disaster recovery. This position will focus primarily on resolving software defects and supporting on-premises customer-maintained software products.
Key Responsibilities:

Subject matter expert for SaaS-hosted applications and underlying architecture

Tackling unique challenges across the organization

Addressing escalations and providing ongoing support for customer-facing applications

Participating in a 24x7 SRE team on-call rotation

Performing root cause analysis for major outages and incidents
-
Automating processes to reduce toil
-
Building and maintaining product availability and performance dashboards
-
Recommending/implementing solutions to continuously improve the environment

Maintaining security compliance and configuration standards
-
Organizing and leading cross-functional teams to resolve critical production issues
-
Managing organizational disaster recovery events and processes
-
Writing and maintaining technical documentation
-
Be a technical leader by mentoring others within the organization

Be dependable and present for the team
Qualifications:
-
2+ years debugging applications and performing defect management
-
2+ years working with cloud providers (AWS/Azure)
-
1+ years working with container orchestration technologies
-
1+ years working with configuration management tools (Terraform)
-
Prior work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or Support Engineer role
-
A good working knowledge of enterprise monitoring and alerting tools
-
Strong problem-solving skills and reverse engineering discipline

Able to troubleshoot server operating systems (Windows/Linux), databases, and web servers (IIS/Apache)

A solid grasp of software engineering best practices and agile methodologies
-
An understanding of application service scaling

A capacity to research and recommend architectural changes
-
Able to simplify and explain complex issues

Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly, unafraid of ambiguity

An understanding of ITIL and service management processes
-
Working knowledge and experience tuning databases

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

A strong sense of urgency

Able to maintain a professional composure during pressure conditions
Preferred Skills:
