Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer SME to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead observability and monitoring operations integration and workflow support, helping manage events and incidents tied to our client's monitoring platforms.
Role Specific Duties/ Role Responsibilities:
- Lead observability and monitoring operations integration and workflow support, including event-to-incident patterns where applicable.
- Manage events and incident support tied to monitoring platforms.
- Provide visualization support, including dashboards, operational views, and reporting.
- Support OpenTelemetry implementation, including instrumentation patterns, collector operations, and telemetry handling, when directed.
- Implement automation solutions using Splunk SOAR/Ansible.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise monitoring, observability, or APM engineering, including architecture and integration work.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with event-to-incident workflow design and ITSM tooling.
- Working knowledge of OpenTelemetry instrumentation patterns and collector operations.
- Experience building dashboards and operational reporting views for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Splunk SOAR or Ansible in a production environment.
Additional Qualifications as per contract/client (Optional or Preferred):
- Experience with OpenTelemetry instrumentation and collector operations.
- Experience with Splunk SOAR and/or Ansible for automation.
Skills Required
- At least 6 years of experience in enterprise monitoring, observability, or application performance management engineering, including architecture and integration work.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience designing event-to-incident workflows and using ITSM tooling.
- Working knowledge of OpenTelemetry instrumentation patterns and collector operations.
- Experience building dashboards and operational reporting views for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with production automation frameworks such as Splunk SOAR or Ansible.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry instrumentation and collector operations.
- Experience with Splunk SOAR and/or Ansible for automation.
