Job DescriptionTeam Summary
The Reliability Engineer (SRE) is a member of a cross-functional Operations & Infrastructure team responsible for running our Visa Spend Clarity for Enterprises production infrastructure and ensuring highest levels of availability, performance and operational excellence.
What a Site Reliability Engineer does at Visa:
The SRE is responsible for finding the right way to run robust applications in our environments. In this role, you will have a balance of engineering improvements, systems operations, and contributions to strategic initiatives. To succeed, you will work closely with all members of the Technology Group to make visible and improve the reliability, availability, performance, monitoring, and operations of Visa Spend Clarity for Enterprises.

You will be part of a critical global function within our Visa Spend Clarity for Enterprises product at a time we are modernising our platform by investing heavily in cloud infrastructure and automation that enables the scale of our product to a much wider range of issuers. This is a key focus area within Visa Commercial Solutions with large growth ambitions.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Transactional systems e.g. banking, finance, telecommunications, etc
• Working with enterprise distributed systems and SaaS applications
• Administrator of Microsoft stack (Windows Server, IIS, MS SQL Server)
• Scripted automation of processes with PowerShell and other orchestration tools
• Understanding and experience in cloud technologies and platforms (preferably AWS)
• Supporting geographically disperse systems across multiple time zones
• Software delivery in regulated compliance-based environments
• Troubleshooting & performance optimisation experience, especially on production systems
• Exposure to PCI requirements and control management
• Strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholder management
• Transactional systems e.g. banking, finance, telecommunications, etc
• Working with enterprise distributed systems and SaaS applications
• Applied Administration for Microsoft stack technologies (Windows Server, IIS, MS SQL Server)
• Experience of Web Application Firewall and Load Balancer support and configuration
• Support and knowledge of Middleware applications (Session State, MQ, AD)
• Scripted automation of processes with PowerShell and other enterprise orchestration tools
• Conversant and experienced in cloud technologies and platforms (preferably AWS)
• Leading initiatives and collaborating, facilitating and influencing with teams across multiple time zones and systems geographically dispersed
• Well accustomed to Enterprise Operational Monitoring and Management tools in a data center environment
• Strong knowledge of Certificate Management and coherent with renewal process methodology
• Software delivery methodology in regulated compliance-based environments
• Building and running internal platforms with a Product Led mindset, whist prioritizing security compliance
• Well accustomed to Enterprise Operational Monitoring and Management tools in a data center environment
• Customer-oriented for both internal and external clients
• Troubleshooting incidents, plus capacity management & performance optimization expertise
• Well exposed to PCI and other audit and control requirements
