The Role

Support team and brand developers’ day to day operations, and participate in on-call rotation with backend engineers, and follow established SLAs. Identify new trends/issues based on monitoring before they become major problems. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to improve the reliability and performance of the central platform. Develop CI/CD pipelines, including container security scanning and deployment orchestration. Develop, test, and maintain the core features of the central services using modern programming languages such as Reactive Java, Spring, and C#. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and other engineers, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality features that meet user needs. Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance infrastructure systems to support the central platform using technologies such as AWS, and Kubernetes. Build tools for managing infrastructures in a more consistent, reliable, and observable way, requiring less manual intervention. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and emerging best practices, and continuously seek opportunities to improve the central platform. Leverage good understanding of infrastructure costs throughout the multiple central services and optimize costs by proactively suggesting solutions. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to 8800 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069. Salary: $146,500 - $190,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of professional experience as Cloud Platform Eng, Site Reliability Eng, or any occupation/position/job title performing platform engineering, DevOps engineering, or site reliability engineering with a product-centric focus.

Must also have experience in the following: 2 years of professional experience in Python and Golang development across multiple Linux distributions, including developing and troubleshooting internal tools (engineer-facing CLIs, messenger bots, or web applications); 2 years of professional experience in AWS and Kubernetes with full admin access, including managing multiple accounts, regions, and clusters via infrastructure-as-code tools; 2 years of professional experience working with cross-functional teams, including security, IT, and finance, responding to security, compliance issues, and FinOps-related tasks; 2 years of professional experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, supporting microservice architectures with sidecar-based service meshes (including Istio), and database/messaging systems management, to comply with cloud-native principles; 2 years of professional experience provisioning, managing, and setting up alerts using observability solutions/tools, and standardizing them with backend engineers and leadership; 2 years of professional experience participating in on-call rotations and leading at least one postmortem, including incident documentation and conducting a review with stakeholders.
