Job Description

• Person will be responsible to Perform Big Data SRE and Engineering activities on AWS and GCP Big data clusters and Open-source Hadoop, HBASE, Spark, and KAFKA in premise clusters

• Manage and optimize Big Data and Kafka clusters in premise and cloud for high performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Collaborate with other teams to design and implement Solutions to improve reliability and efficiency of the Big data cloud platforms.

• Ensure security and compliance of the platforms within organizational guidelines.

• Cross-team teamwork, build and maintain relationships with the customer teams, the user community, architects and engineering teams jointly work on key deliverables ensuring production scalability and stability

• Effective Root cause analysis of major production incidents and developing learning documentation.

• Automation of repetitive tasks to reduce manual effort and avoid Human errors.

• Develop tools and processes to monitor, setup observability and tune alerting.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of work experience
• Bachelor’s in engineering, Computer Science preferred.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience working in Cloud Platform AWS/GCP or Hadoop or Kafka platform
• Expertise in one or more programming languages Java or python
• Understanding of Linux, networking, CPU, memory and storage is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 84,600.00 to 119,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
