Job Description:
As part of the Site Engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design and installation of capital projects according to the site capital plan. Engineers are expected to become an active member of the larger engineering community, the site technical team, and any assigned project team(s). Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for deploying their engineering know-how to successfully execute and deliver projects to the business that provide a competitive advantage.
What are we looking for?Minimum
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
5 + years of experience in a comparable technical position could also qualify.
A strong understanding of engineering disciplines including process, packaging, electrical, construction, mechanical, or similar fields of work.
Skilled in high performance teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to take initiative in ambiguous situations.
Preferred
Experience with managing the scope, budget, schedule, and other capital project aspects would set the ideal candidate apart.
Knowledge of the Mars Engineering Work Process (EWP) and how it applies to project management at Mars would set the ideal candidate apart.
1 + years of engineering experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related industry would be an advantage.
Managing capital projects to deliver cleanable, safe, secure, and environmentally responsible results.
Engage project team members by encouraging them to proactively perform their assigned tasks.
Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously including project execution, manufacturing support, and continuous self-development with a concentration on growing their role in the business.
Contribute to a winning environment which promotes safety, trust, and confidence.
Comply with and reinforce the commitment Mars has to safety, security and environmental policies.
A passion for engineering and design work required to plan, execute, and validate project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Meet the capital project commitments of individual project scope, time, and budget in line with the site’s annual capital plan and overall Masterplan.
Use of project management techniques to lead projects to success.
Be an active leader and participant in the project development process and plan for the site.
Create project budget estimates with a developed scope of work and schedule for execution to the site capital plan and Masterplan.
Possess the correct technical information or ability to find the required knowledge to complete comprehensive project design work.
Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.
