Position Overview:The Site Performance Manager is responsible for helping customers achieve lower total cost of ownership and increasing the physical availability of key critical fleets.
You will work closely with the customer as well as our Internal Finning teams to drive results.
Driven by a focused vision of customer satisfaction, mine site productivity, lowest cost per tonne, this position is responsible for customer and Finning (shared) metric success.
With a focus on improving the performance of Caterpillar Mining Products, you will work in partnership with the CAT Physical Availability Manager.

Job Description:With a developed, implemented and managed strategic Mining Account Plan, the job functions are in 4 key areas; Equipment Performance, Relationships, Enterprise, and Leadership.

Equipment Performance

  • Partner with Caterpillar to bring Finning, CAT and customer together to improve or sustain specific equipment performance KPI’s, i.e. Physical Availability, mechanical availability and productive performance.
  • Responsible for leading site performance improvements based on data trends. 
  • Responsible for aligning Finning and Customer metrics including coordination of Product Problem Resolution at the mine site.
  • This position acts as a consultant to customer operations and maintenance managers, advising strategic direction for proper equipment selection, product problem management and equipment management activities. 

Relationships

  • Establish and maintain high-level relationships with business decision makers and key influencers. Develop, implement and manage a relationship strategy for all functional areas.

Enterprise

  • Manage site performance including physical availability metrics. Identify trends and potential issues, draw on internal support to identify root cause and implement corrective action.
  • This position is jointly responsible for account recovery strategy and Performance Improvement strategy plan execution with Commercial Managers.
  • Develop, prioritize and implement strategies to address customer needs as well as ensuring dealer support practices align with recovery strategy.  

Leadership

  • Lead Finning activities through assigned reporting structure.
  • Review and provide input to operation controls and business practices / procedures to ensure Finning risk and exposure are measured and managed.  
  • Understands the internal and external customer demands and act on that information.

Education & Experience

  • Requires five to ten years of mining and/or oilsands industry experience with expertise in mobile equipment maintenance management and process.
  • Maintenance Execution, Planning & Scheduling, Continuous Improvement and Reliability Centered Maintenance experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of company products, mining product applications, mining equipment management, and product problem management.
  • Broad company knowledge and a strong understanding of Finning operations, and field experience are also required. 
  • Red Seal Certification in relevant trade or Mechanical Engineer degree. 
  • Minimum of five to nine years of progressively responsible job-related leadership experience. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, and persuade others inside and outside the business unit and Finning to take specific actions.
