Job DescriptionThe Site Operations Manager oversees support services across a multi-site campus that includes biomanufacturing, research, administrative, and warehouse environments. This high-visibility role provides the ability for sitewide impact and direct management of contract services. Responsibilities are both tactical and strategic, ensuring site personnel can conduct their business in an efficient, safe, and compliance environment daily while preparing the site for future growth and performance. The manager is responsible for daily logistics, contract service providers, special projects, and campus capacity planning while identifying opportunities to enhance operations and implementing innovative solutions. The role also entails off-hour coverage for site emergencies including adverse weather and unforeseen operational disruptions to ensure rapid response and maintain continuity of business operations. Active involvement in daily operations is essential for seamless site functionality and sustained business continuity.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily site logistics and planning to support efficient operations across office, laboratory, and manufacturing organizations. This may require involvement in special project assignments, including planning, execution, vendor hosting, project documentation, and presentations to stakeholders and site leadership.
- Responsible for the site Security program, including supervision of contracted service providers and support related site initiatives, including but not limited to site security posture, emergency response plans, and business continuity plans.
- Supervise and manage a campus-wide contracted food service provider and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal licensing and permitting requirements.
- Supervise and manage year-round contracted landscaping, snow removal, and surface treatment service provider to maintain an appealing, professional, and safe environment for employees, visitors, and clients.
- Plan and coordinate site-based company events and executive visits of medium to large scale with stakeholders, support functions, vendors, and contracted services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional organizations on strategic campus space planning, delivering optimized proposals to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders and corporate deliverables.
- Partner with site leadership, global engineering, and corporate real estate teams to manage campus property leases, renewals, adjustments, and interactions with property managers.
- Review department service contracts and perform financial assessments alongside the site Finance team to meet fiscal targets and identify focal areas.
- Partner with a diverse customer base and deliver outstanding service. Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators. Listen to and understand others' points of view and articulate tactfully and respectfully one's own perspective orally, in writing, and in presentations.
- Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills to meet all targets and objectives set by department, site, and division leaders. Experience with advanced and predictive data analytics platform, database management, and AI is preferred.
- Associate/Bachelors Degree in related field or discipline and/or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and skills necessary to implement effective site operational programs as well as evaluate and recommend corrective actions/processes within multi-disciplined biomanufacturing and/or research environments.
