Site Manager
General Description

The Site Manager is responsible for the overall activities to ensure the professional installation of an automated material handling system on project sites (including overseas projects). The Site Manager is a key member of a project team, reporting functionally to the project manager. Depending on the size and scale, the SM will have supervisors to assist him on-site.
Job Description:
- Leads and manages the on-site installation team, including several supervisors on projects.
- Manages all installation-related activities until handover to the customer.
- Responsible for organising all HSE-related activities on site.
- Draws up the project “installation” project plan containing objectives, organisation, planning and cost calculations in consultation with the project manager.
- Monitor and manage quality, time, costs, and provision of information.
- Identifies and analyses (potential) problems/risks and opportunities and initiates adequate corrective and preventive actions.
- Manages the interaction of site work with all stakeholders.
- Advises and manages the contracts of steelwork, E&M subcontractors.
- Ensure the PM2.0 processes within the project.
- Perform quality checks on installation and these processes.
- Proper reporting to the customer, PM and head office.
- Responsible for working within specified budgets, including installations, housing, travel and local transport of own staffing. Responsible for creating a safe working environment Gives detailed feedback and weekly site reports about progress, quality, HSE, budgets and other topics.
- Safety officer and first aid assistant Manage site snag list and ensure timely closure before project handover.
- Lead regular site coordination meetings with subcontractors, suppliers, and customer representatives. Coordinate interfaces between different disciplines, including steelwork, mechanical, electrical, and controls.
- Coordinate delivery, storage, and availability of installation materials and equipment on site.
- Ensure site permits, access arrangements, and work approvals are properly managed.
- (Optional) Support commissioning activities and ensure installation readiness for system testing.
Education/Qualification & Experience
- Tertiary education (mechanical, electrical or mechatronics)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading a mid-sized or large-sized site-based team.
- Experience in working on MHS/BHS projects.
- Over 1-year of overseas project experience is better.
- English level: CET-6 or above, or ability to use English fluently in daily work. (Preferred/optional).

Skills Required
