SITE MANAGER RENEWABLE

Role Scope

Reporting to the Construction Manager for the renewable business (principally focused on Solar Projects, Utility Scale and C&I), coordinated within the Project Team by a Project Manager, is responsible through the coordination of external resources on site (Supervisors, Commissioning Managers, Site Quality Controls, external roles by law, etc.) and specific periodical coordination meeting on site, of the project’s results in terms of HSE, Quality and Performance, and maintaining times and costs aligned to the assigned goal.

Main Responsibilities

Construction and Site Logistic

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site activities (construction and commissioning) according to the project schedule and through the coordination of subcontractors and external supports during Early Works activities and construction phases, ensuring high standards of Quality and HSE,
  • ensure the right execution of the works in conformity with constructive design (and client requirements), avoiding any misalignment to normative and permit’s prescription,
  • evaluate on site possible design changes (due of unpredictable or contingent events) and coordinate the implementation together with the Project Engineers.
  • guarantee an efficient logistics on site, in coordination with the Project Manager, managing possible delivery of the Equipment from suppliers or warehouses,
  • ensure the quality control of the works (including SAT), arising non-conformity and ensuring their resolution with corrective actions in coordination with Project Engineers and Project Managers,
  • organize coordination meetings on site, defining and verifying the weekly planification of the works (based on the Project’s Master Schedule), and any action to recover possible delays,
  • produce and distribute to the Project Manager the on-site report (daily and weekly) with the work progress, criticalities and any other useful information.

Safety Management

  • support the Project Engineers participating in Site Visit, verifying critical aspects and ensuring the HSE risks assessment of the projects,
  • ensure the application of the Local Normative and internal Procedures and Policy in terms of HSE during construction,
  • organize together with the HSE Manager the onboarding and a dedicated KOM for contractors on Health, Safety and Environment topic,
  • Ensure all personnel are trained in safety procedures and authorized to access the site,
  • conduct regular safety audit on site on subcontractor, arising Non-Conformities and verifying their immediate resolution,
  • control and maintain high level of Project’s HSE KPI,
  • ensure and verify the right communication and implementation of the Emergency Response Plan for Projects under construction,
  • Define, in coordination with the Quality Manager, the definition of the HSE’s Lessons Learnt to be distributed in the Country.
  • Support the Client in case of specific HSE Request included in the Technical Economical Offer (meetings, site implementation, etc.)

Requirements

  • Education: Degree level qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil) or Equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in managing Construction Site in Energy Sector, and at least 2 years in Renewable Energy.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of renewable energy regulations and safety standards. Excellent application of Excell, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project will be an advantage.
  • Soft Skills: Good Team Player, self-starter, problem solving and decision making, target oriented, excellent communication skills.
  • Languages: Fluency in English (written and verbal), other language will be an advantage.
