Job Description

As we continue to build on our success in New Zealand, we currently seek a Site Manager to join our Christchurch team. The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Organise sequencing of on-site activities including the co-ordination of materials, equipment, personnel, and materials handling plant.
  • In consultation with the Project Manager and Senior Site Manager, allocate necessary site staff and resources and confirm that all the resources for the project will be available when required.
  • Review the construction programme with the Senior Site Manager, re-sequencing activities as necessary to achieve the programmed completion date.
  • Ensure that the Company's policies and practices on safety, industrial relations and quality assurance are implemented and monitored.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with standards and contract documents.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in building/construction, or other recognised tertiary or trade qualification in a construction related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising trades on large building projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision making skills.
