The Role
As a Site Logistics Operator (Fibre Operative), you will hold responsibility for the safe storage, loading and unloading of goods to support the Fibre operations. The role consists of operating a 7 tonne B2 Forklift truck with squeeze clamp attachment, and an internal shunt vehicle moving articulated LGV trailers around the site. Full plant training is provided on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- The safe loading, unloading and storage of goods on site
- Stock auditing to minimise loss
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are adhered to
- Checking that vehicles on site are fit for purpose
- Ensuring all visiting drivers follow site rules
- Assisting with the training of new staff
- Reporting issues including incidents on site
