Department OverviewThis position is responsible for providing technical and administrative support within the Portable Support Group of a sensitive Federal customer. The role further includes supporting Informational Technology (IT) Specialists with the decommissioning of antennas and repeaters, as well as coordinating payments to vendors for over 300 antenna sites across the CONUS. This position reports to the on-site Sr. Mgr. Field Service Team
Job Description

  • Consult with Sales, Program Manager, Sr. Field Service Team Manager, and the System Integration team to set strategy, direction and implementation
  • Organize administrative documents for over 300 customer radio antenna sites. 
  • Create and update Excel spreadsheets to ensure addresses, vendor point of contacts, taxpayer ID’s and annual billing financials are up to date.
  • Lead cross-functional teams with IT specialists, procurement, and vendors in the analysis of organizational antenna removal processes.
  • Review, evaluate, and identify areas of improvement and implementing strategic solutions to optimize efficiency to meet established goals and objectives
  • Direct and serve as the principal point of contact for technicians through the removal of antennas and repeaters covering multiple CONUS locations.
  • Prepare and monitored program budget and financial documentations and expenditures.
  • Create invoices, novation agreements, and credit card purchases for antenna sites according to customer policies and missions
  • Assist vendors in navigating IPP.GOV and sam.gov to ensure invoices and payments are made.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, maintain, troubleshoot, align, and program Motorola handheld subscriber units APX6000/8000, TXM1000/2000/3000 and KVL 3000/5000.
  • Open and close trouble tickets/service tickets utilizing customer ticketing system (ServiceNow)
  • Document and or validate incoming and outgoing assets

Candidate Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of ServiceNow trouble ticketing system 
  • Demonstrated expertise with IPP.gov and sam.gov invoicing/payment sites
  • General understanding of LANs, IT server rooms, hubs, routers, and access points
  • Demonstrated understanding of Motorola Radio Management repository database operation
  • Demonstrated understanding of the preservation of classified audio data for legal retention/processes – ability to coordinate channels/logs to ensure accurate recordings of date/time/subject from radio networking servers for customer investigative and executive requests
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Applications required; experience with Microsoft Visio a plus
  • Self motivated, excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills 
  • Works collaboratively and builds relationships with other colleagues, customers, and third party service professionals.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contracts
  • Must be willing to obtain a DHS Public Trust Clearance
  • The role entails providing on-premises support to our valued customers in Washington D.C.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Basic Requirements

  • Associates degree OR trade school certification OR 2+ years of experience in one of the following: Subscribers, LMR, RF systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering, Motorola equipment or Networking equipment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s)
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
