Job Description

Join LGC as a Site Lead in Charleston, SC!

We are looking for an established leader to take ownership of planning, developing, running and implementing a business plan to grow revenue and profitability at our Charleston facility!

Areas of accountability will include safety and compliance, profit and loss, and production in close collaboration with logistics, product management and business development, while ensuring quality systems are maintained to ISO 9001 and (where appropriate) ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 17034, cGMP requirements.

You will be responsible for delivery of production, including management of financial performance and coordinate with our global VP Supply Chain to ensure product deliverability metrics are met or exceeded.

You will lead the site with a continuous improvement approach and implement an effective organization structure applying a talent management process to ensure the right level of resources/capability is in place to achieve short and long term business plans.

Other area's of responsibility will include, preparing annual budgets and report monthly on financial performance, craft and deliver a clear management reporting framework for the production site, complete with key performance indicators for each part of the business, supervise Quality System(s) to meet ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO Guide 34 and cGMP requirements as applicable and compliance with state and federal laws related, but not limited to controlled substances, storage and disposal of hazardous materials, labor, importation and export.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a middle management position in a relevant market sector (e.g., specialty chemicals).
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant scientific subject area (e.g. organic chemistry).
  • Experience in planning and execution. Knowledge of relevant manufacturing, LEAN or continuous improvement techniques, and change management.
  • Experience with leading direct and indirect costs to optimize site financials and global supply chain.
  • Ability to empower teams to produce quality output within tight time frames and simultaneously run several projects.
  • Familiarity with working in a global matrix structure
