Visit.org is looking for a passionate and ambitious Logistics Associate to join our team remotely. The Logistics Associate will support the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout our supply chain. In this role, you will help coordinate shipping and receiving activities, manage inventory, prepare documentation, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely deliveries. The right candidate also has an entrepreneurial spirit, extreme passion for our mission, and the energy and discipline to come in and be a builder in a start-up tech environment

Responsibilities: 

  • Support day-to-day logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control
  • Assemble and pack kits and materials into boxes for shipment
  • Track shipments and update internal systems with delivery status and documentation
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and suppliers to resolve delays or issues
  • Prepare and process shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, customs forms)
  • Assist with warehouse coordination and inventory audits
  • Manage printed materials, ensuring they are correctly prepared, packed, and included in shipments
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics-related transactions
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Procurement, Customer Service, Sales) to meet delivery timelines
  • Help identify and implement improvements to logistics processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guideline

Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g., ERP, WMS)
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Familiar with and excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Physical Demands:
    Able to lift, slide, and carry up to 30 lbs.
    Able to stand for an extended period
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment

Salary range from $38,000 to $44,000  DOE; however, base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A range of benefits may include equity, healthcare benefits, and paid time off, which may be provided as part of the compensation package. 

Skills Required

  • 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or fulfillment.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team in a hands-on operational environment.
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies and implementing SOPs or process improvements to enhance warehouse operations.
  • Experience with picking, packing, shipping, and basic warehouse supervision.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse management tools.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
